Back to Order Mondays

The Garage
OK, so it is Thursday, not Monday, but I wasn't able to post on Monday due to a medical issue involving Cassandra, so I'm finally getting to it now.
This weekend we tackled the garage.  Or to be more exact, my husband tackled the garage.  He also worked on it yesterday, since the company he works for gives their employees July 4th off.
I wish I would have taken a "before" picture but I was more focused on just getting the task done.  Unfortunately we still have about half the garage left to sort out, and Josh seems to think that even when the garage is cleaned out and completely reorganized that we still won't be able to park the minivan in there.  This is unbelievable to me, since it is a roomy 2 car garage.  But I think the problem may lie in how my husband envisions the garage looking after the reorganization and how I envision it.  He likes to line things like shelving up against every available wall.  If we use this method he will be right.  We would be able to pull the minivan into the garage, but the front passenger or driver (depending on which side of the garage we use) would have difficulty getting out of the vehicle.
However, in my vision, if we leave one side wall without any shelving units, we should be able to park the minivan in the garage AND allow the passenger or driver to comfortably exit the vehicle.  And if we are truly CLEANING out the garage, do we really need all those extra shelves?  To a pack rat like my husband, yes we do.
So now what?  I guess we will have to see what happens after our garage sale this weekend and we have completed the cleaning project.  Hopefully I will also have some great "after" pictures and garage organization tips for you to boot!
